Questions about this tour
Is the Gates of Heaven reflection real?
The famous mirror effect is made by a photographer holding a small mirror under your phone — there is no water at the gates. It is part of the photo queue. You still get the iconic shot; just know the reflection is the mirror trick, not a pond.
How long is the wait at Lempuyang?
You take a numbered ticket and wait your turn for the gate photo. Waits range from 30 minutes to over an hour at peak times, which is exactly why we pick you up early to arrive before the crowds.
Do I need to dress modestly for the temples?
Yes. Lempuyang and Tirta Gangga are sacred sites, so a sarong is required to cover your legs. Sarongs are provided at the entrances, so you do not need to bring your own.
